First does your
insurance consider the boat "totaled"? If it is totaled, the insurance company will pay you the value of the policy and will take title of the boat and then they sell it to a
salvage yard who removes and markets all the
gear.
If they do not take title of the boat, then you have the option of selling the boat "as is, where is" as a fixer upper or removing all the
gear for
marketing and then disposing of the
hull. I think that your time is worth more than the few grand that you might make from the gear and the hassle of disposing of the
hull with the possible pollutants involved may be a BIG problem.
