What do the stars mean under the username?

I mean the stars where my “Do or do not” verb is?

Re: What do the stars mean under the username?

What Stu said. I forget the number of posts/star, but it's not much (not for us babblers anyway ). Doesn't mean much to get 5-stars.

The site also assigns another ranking using little green dots or squares, which are visible in each person's Public Profile. These are assigned based on the number of "Thanks" you receive. It's too bad this isn't displayed, instead of the stars. At least it says something about the person.

For example, I see Jedi has six green markers, and is "gloriously helpful."
Stu has seven, and is "splendidly helpful." And I ring in with eight, and "have much to be proud of."

"Chotu has ben thanked many times".

Does CF use a "primitive culture's counting system"?

Oh if I'm a good little boy, I get more?

Oh, but you're already "just really helpful," as we all know.

Where are the “splendidly helpful” and “have much to be proud of” definitions to be found?

Re: What do the stars mean under the username?

Beats the heck out of me! I don't know at all. I thought it was just a click count for the thanks button, which means that only thanks button thanks would be counted. As someone who writes individual thank you notes to people a lot, on CF, sent as PMs, I bet those get lost in such a tally. Hmmmm. I'm going to want to think about this.

I have no idea. But I'd be 'splendidly proud' if you could find out . And I know you'll do it, since you are (four squares) "just really helpful."

P.S. Hey Ann, how come you and I both have "much to be proud of," yet you have one more greenie than me. What gives!?!

Hover over the green squares in the member's profile and it pops up.

Not on an iPad and not on an iPhone.
My granddaughter has a Mac. I can see if that feature works on it tomorrow.

Re: What do the stars mean under the username?

So the green squares… we should be able to work that out. I believe I have received 544 thanks and I have 6 Green squares… which would indicate I get a seventh when I pass 600?

I’ll check on new members for stars and see how many posts they have.. I thought everyone had 5 stars but I just noticed a new member with fewer.

Re: What do the stars mean under the username?

LITERALLY TODAY I WAS GOING TO POST A THREAD ABOUT THE GREEN BOXES!!!!

Jedi, you are doing mind tricks.

Anyway, this is what I found about those green boxes.

I am pretty sure that there are features explained in the FAQ section screen-grabbed below that no longer work... Who knew you could send "negative thanks"???

And who knew that I could "give good reputation"?!?!?! The power...

See the picture below. And send me a thanks. I only have one green box, and I want more.
