We'll be changing networks soon! Hopefully that'll be the cure.

I think if you read the fine print you'll see CF promises satisfaction or double your postings. As our great and powerful Admin has noted we have people working on it. If you buy 3D glasses you may see some interesting images in between the double postings.
I saw this painted on the back of a rubbish truck. "satisfaction guaranteed or double your rubbish back"

thought it was great!!

This is a test - my last 2 posts doubled.

Ok - the doubling has not been fixed yet.

Now that was interesting. Only my first message doubled. If this one doesn't double I'll disconnect and reconnnect and see if it's a first time thing.

This morning I attempted to post a reply to the escrow for a new to us boat??? thread. Clicking on "Submit Reply" returned an error message that began "Cruisers Forum appears to be having a problem . . ." (or something close to that). I clicked back to the previous page, but rather that hitting "Submit Reply" again (which might be the cause of the dreaded double post), I opened a new browser window, went to CF, and though my post didn't show on the Home Page Portal as having been added to the thread, I clicked on the icon to go to the last post and there it was.

It still doesn't show on the Home Page Portal, and the thread is still down in the middle of the page where it was originally rather than going to the top of the list.

I did copy my post to Word before assuming anything, just in case it vanishes from CF.

Strange.

I must have developed a keyboard stutter. Every post is double posting.

Hey guys. It's a known problem at this point. We will take care of the double posts as we see them until it's fixed.

Preview as solution...

I have been previewing all of my posts (spelling, syntax, common sense?) and have not had a problem with double posting.

May I suggest that other members try this?

My experience is there really is a problem, but it's being worked on by our new TechAdmin. If you want to delete your own doubles that's cool, but I have been looking for them too. We can make do until the real fix arrives.

I'm a fan of the preview option as well, Boracay, and although I've never had a double post, I don't think previewing is the reason.

I like the "Preview Post" option because it's the last, best opportunity to correct all of the things you cite, as well as a few others, such as, 1) Have I made my point clearly and succinctly? 2) Have I gotten carried away and said something I'll regret later? 3) If I've tried to inject humor, is it evident? 4) Have I used material from another source without clearly attributing it to the originator? 5) If I am responding to another member's post, is my post respectful of that member, even if our points-of-view are diametrically opposed?

The bottom line is that the preview feature is a valuable option and can be your best friend.
