USE THIS FORUM FOR CRUISER'S FORUM I.T. SUPPORT ONLY

This forum is for posing questions about the forum itself, not for tech support for marine electronics or other boating questions. It is read by the forum managers, not hopefully helpful cruisers. Scroll down under the Forums button to find the most appropriate forum for your boating question.

That can happen.

I use a tablet, I hold my finger on my text and a list of options appears. One of which is "select all" click on that and all text is highlighted, I then click on "copy" then I can come and go as I like and come back and paste my text back.

All you have to do is remember to do it

Hahahaha, I didn't see "hopefully not for helpful cruisers"......... I hate them

Re: USE THIS FORUM FOR CRUISER'S FORUM I.T. SUPPORT ONLY

I have a question concerning defamatory postings made on CruisersForum.

If one has a boat for sale and someone defames the boat, the owner and or the broker without evidence (and likely for tortious purposes) naming the vessel and/or otherwise identifying the owners, is there a means to have the post taken down and the posting account owner warned?

Adrifter, the easiest way is to click on the report post triangle. If you're using the laptop, it's on the lower left corner. If you're using a phone, I'm not sure
how to do it. When you report a post, it soon comes to the attention of the moderators.

I wish I could help, michaeld. Unfortunately, that tag line was put there by someone programming your phone, with the express intent that you carry forward with an advertisement for the phone, including your not being able to opt out. That person knows a bunch more about programming cell phones that I do.

You get a similar message when using Tapatalk unless you remember to deselect the message.

Re: USE THIS FORUM FOR CRUISER'S FORUM I.T. SUPPORT ONLY

Hello, I was trying to post a thread/question an was unable to. I have submitted only a handful over the past year with great speedy results. Is there a limit? Do I need to upgrade to another level (if that is even possible)?
Thank you for taking the time to read this ⚓️

Actually, guys, the CF phone app quit working when the changeover to the new way of accessing forums was instituted. A PM to <Janet H> will lead to clarification. GI Low texted me that he could not connect via iPad or phone.

Re: USE THIS FORUM FOR CRUISER'S FORUM I.T. SUPPORT ONLY

I have to remove my cruisersforum. It has been taken over by adds that cannot be erased or minimized?
I continue to get CanAm adds( off-road vehicles) adds that will not stop or be deleted.
Is anyone else having this issue?
I have rebooted my iPhone etc.

Re: USE THIS FORUM FOR CRUISER'S FORUM I.T. SUPPORT ONLY

Hello, HippieTye,

You came to the tech support for working the website. You should look in the Engines & Propulsion forum, or the Library.

Another way to approach it would be to use the CF Custom Google Search located in the menu that drops down when you click on search: put in the designation for your engine - there are lots of different Yanmar engines, and see if CF lists the manual for yours.

Yet another way would be to ask the moderator, Wotname. Send him a PM. You would click on CP, then send new message. He's one of the engine gurus.

Good luck with it.

Ann
