Unread messages nofications

When I log in, the welcome widget on the upper right says I have one new notification, and clicking shows one unread private message, but when I go to my message list, I don’t see any unread messages? Any way to find the message, or clear the notification? Thanks.

Hi, DanielI,

I click on the notification, and that either takes me to my subscribed threads with the message at the top of that in a little box, on which I can click to see it; or if I tell the User CP to List Messages, then goes to Incoming messages, and I click on the message there.
