Site gone nuts
I am reporting odd site behavior. Today, at work on the server computer, and at home, the site keeps redirecting me back to the log in page, after logging in. If I persist, eventually I do get logged in. But its taking up to 10 times to get in.

Re: Site gone nuts
Almost the same here: I logon, site thanks me, redirects me to where I came from ... and logs me out.
I've cleared cache & cookies but alas, site just doesn't want to make it easy today

Re: Site gone nuts
Thx!
For future reference, where was / is the warning?
I never saw it and still can't find it ... *hangs head in shame*

Re: Site gone nuts
Lizzy, it showed up in the Recent Discussions earlier today, I forgot what subforum it came from. Didn't last long.

Re: Site gone nuts
Found it - http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ay-159801.html
I always use the "recent posts" page so if a topic isn't on there anymore, I won't see it.
Kinda assumed site notices would be sticky at top of page or something ...
My bad - sorry!

I had the same problem, now and some times on the past and had no idea of what was going on. As you, and I believe most, I use the today's post or new posts page so a sticky post on top of it while the situation lasts will be effectively a good idea, if possible.

Re: Site gone nuts
I have similar problems: on some pages I am connected, on others I am not (PC running W8.1 and Firefox 43.0.4).
When I try to access the "New posts" page, I appear not connected and I get the answer "Sorry, there are no new threads to view. You may search for threads updated during the previous 24 hours, here". I can post "quick replies" but I can't "go advanced" for answering to other posts. If I try, the site logs me out!
I tried clearing the cache, deleting the cookies, restarting the computer: no effect.

Re: Site gone nuts
same here. Get the thanks page, then back to sign in page. If I repeteatedly keep trying, eventually get signed on, but it's brief. Sometimes just clicking for next page takes me back to sign in page.

Re: Site gone nuts
I found that if I check "remember me" when I log in, I stay logged in. If not, not. Wierd.
BTW, the exact same thing started happening at the same time on the Trawler Forum. Same workaround.

Thanks NewMoon, this "remember me" did the trick. Still a bit sluggish but at least I don't get kicked off all the time.

Same for us. Frankly this site is getting to be a bit too much work...
