Quote: Experiment

So far I have not been very lucky quoting some posts. Instead of messing up some one else thread, it may be OK for me and other to experiment the art of quoting in this thread. I have searched the forum and found fews related threads mentionning quote and multiple quote. I have tried but it did not work so I must have missed some thing.

So let see if this edited quote also work. My previous mistake would have been that in editing a quote I would have deleted the end of quote sign: "[/quote]"

I have read in an other thread that a multiple quote must be terminated by a single quote. I let some one else experiment with this.

James - The smiley's are available when you use the "Post Reply" button or select "Go Advanced" below the Quick Reply box. They are also available when you create a new thread.

Chala - Glad your experiments are working out.

To multi quote simply click the "Quote Mark" icon for each post you want to quote. Each time you select the quote mark icon it will turn orange. Then on the last post click on the "Quote" button.

pirate <----- Pirate Icon

That is strange.

Are you sure you are not confusing smilies (right side of pic) with icons (bottom of pic)

You should only have to click a smilie to insert it in the text box.

Icons only appear on the message list like my pirate icon.

pirate

OK...the ones at the bottom are icons, yes I was thinking they are the smiles because that’s all I see...on your pic you show a window to the left of the message box ...I don’t have that?
I got the pirate on board.

The smilies are on the right side of the box you compose your post in, James, and below the fifteen you see there, you will see [More]. If you click on that, it will bring up the box on the left side of your screen.

Instead of using the Quick Reply box to compose your post, James, click on the Post Reply button just below the last post on the left side.
