Re: profile photo

The note says;

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 400 by 400 pixels or 25.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

So an image at 300 square should work in my opinion.

I assume you edited the image with some editing software independent of the forum interface. Correct? And then browsed to the file on your hard drive to upload.

Maybe you should double check the image characteristics to be sure. I suspect it's over both 400 by 400 and 25kb. One of those two parameters must be less than 400 by 400 and 25kb.

I'm going to edit a pic for mine to test.

Re: profile photo

I just got a failed to upload message, at 299 by 221 and 99kb.

Could it be it must be under 400 by 400 and under 25kb?

Trying that.

edit,..... Somethings wrong. I just did a 200 by 200 at 20kb and it failed to upload.

I don't think it's your edit at this point.

Someone will have an answer soon.

Re: profile photo

how about using google web picasa? Free.
upload you picture there, then get the link (right click picture) and post it here. Use the picture icon next to the quote icon on toolbar.

here is an example

Re: Profile Photo

Using an online hosting service is another option. Though I'm not sure if the file size restrictions still apply.

For what it's worth, I just noticed my profile picture did up load after all. Even though I got an error message at the time I up loaded it.

Maybe the OP's pic worked after all as well.

It's really simple to check: Click on the user name in the avatar area to open the drop-down menu, then select "View Public Profile" to see that member's profile, including whatever profile pic has been uploaded.
