Profile-Date of Birth
Under the Edit your Details tab for Date of Birth, it states the following: "Your date of birth and age are displayed in several places on the forum. Only the administrator will have access to your date of birth should you choose to hide it via the privacy option below.
Please contact the Administrator if your date of birth has changed."
My questions:
1) Where on the site are all the places that my birth date is displayed?
2) Why does the Administrator need to know the birth date of members?

I believe that there's some legal requirement that websites need to ensure that their membership are adults (in chronological terms, at least). Can't have the wee ones exposed to the dark world of anchor setting...
I've never had a head for birthdays, so I just entered my best guess.

Thanks Lake that make sense. I thought I was old enough not to be so forthcoming with personal information on social media sites. Lesson learned.
Still wondering what the higher ups mean when they say "Your date of birth and age are displayed in several places on the forum." Do you or does anyone else know what pages display birth dates?

It displays in your profile if you let it.
My age but not b-day displays on mine.
As far as I know that’s the only public place it displays.

Now, I'm going to check my public profile and see if I included my dob. Back in a mo.
Fwiw, there is no dob nor age in either Adelie's public profile, nor mine. Perhaps they are removed by the software if one is a moderator?

Well, my mother self-identifies as 29 and has done for decades. Given my own age that means her birthdate is changing at least once a year.
