My New Thread Does Not Show Up Under 'New Posts'

I must be doing something wrong.

Could you please help me ?
My New Thread does not show up under "New Posts"
It shows up only in the category section.

By definition if you wrote the first post to a thread it is already read by you and won't ever show up as new for you. It will show up as a thread with new posts when someone replies.

Ok, but this one got listed under new posts - sorry if I don't get it.

It's because only those posts that a member has never opened, or has not opened since something new was added to the thread, will appear in the New Posts list for any particular member. As Dan said, since you had the thread "open" while you were typing it, it won't appear on your New Posts list until someone else adds a post to the thread. Once Dan added his response to your post, the thread went back onto your New Posts list.

To see a complete list of posts, whether you've opened any of them or not, click on Quick Links, then Today's Posts in the drop-down menu.

Your post will display to other members on the new posts list. Once someone has responded to your thread, it will display for you in the new post list.
