LED panel indicator needed

Hello All,

I am looking for a new red indicator LED for the circuit breaker panel on my 1989 Pearson 36. Can anyone tell me who the manufacturer of these little lamps is, or where I can find a new one? A part number, if available, would also be a great help.

Many thanks in advance,
Jon

Re: LED panel indicator needed

Go to any electronics store and look at the selection of panel mount led indicators.
Worst case scenario go to blue seas website and look at their indicator lamps.

I saw a variety of replacement indicator lamps, both LED and conventional on the shelf at Hamilton Marine in Rockland, ME. Check out their web site as I've never seen anything in their stores that you can't buy online. Welcome To Hamilton Marine

Re: LED panel indicator needed

When I rewired my boat, I used paneltronics panels.

When it was hit by lightning, I needed to replace the LED indicators.

Electrical Panel product search results for LED

Different voltages, sizes, colors. Good customer support. No need to calc resistor values.

Re: LED panel indicator needed

When I was completely restoring my Cape Dory 31, one of the guys I had doing some work ordered a paneltronics panel, he didn't know I had already ordered one, it was 600 my cost, never installed the backup so I would let it go for 300 and you pay shipping. If you would like it, pm me and we can exchange email addresses and go from there.

89? You sure it's an LED?
I would definitely put an LED in there but it may not be one now, if not maybe you don't want the factory bulb, but an LED that fits?

Re: LED panel indicator needed

Blue Sea sells a lot of different color LEDs in 12, 24 and 110 volts. Used to also be able to find them at Radio Shack. Wolf's Marine in Benton Harbor, Michigan - in stock. We$t Marine sometime has them.

Radio Shack used to sell a 12v red led that fit in a Bass panel with a little reaming.

Our Camper-Nicholson is 1984 - with original LEDs. They had in line dropping resistors & soldered busses I have to remove using new Blue Sea replacements. I also use rubber grommets & drill out the original holes. Look in McMaster Carr for grommets.

Re: LED panel indicator needed

I wouldn't have thought LED's were in use then, The lights in my panel (1987) looked like LED's, but I have always assumed they were just filament bulbs.
Just replaced the bulb in our propane panel, had a little red light, wife used to forget, so I put in a big LED that lights up brightly enough, you notice it. Just punched out the 1/8" hole to 1/2"
