Having Trouble with the Paypal Link

I'm trying to become a supporter but when I click on the PayPal icon I get a message that I have not entered PayPal through a valid link. I tried several times using both my PayPal account and then through the link for those wishing to use a credit/debit card. Wassup?

Hmmm . . . dunno, Rich, but we'll look into it. Thanks!

Rich,

I am still in the middle of setting up the system. I will post an announcement later in the week once it's live.

Re: Having Trouble with the Paypal Link

Well Doug,

At least I know it's not just me and my browser. Andy has sent me a PM to tell me he is working on it but is currently up to his butt in aligators while trying to drain the swamp. He promises me that as soon as it is ready, he'll let us know and we can all throw money at CF.

Account upgrades are now available:

Cheaper burgees if you upgrade too.

Thanks in advance for helping support CF!

Thanks Andy, it was successful. Of course I paid 2 cents more than what was previously advertised, but what the hey, all of us yachties are rich aren't we?

Rich

Re: Having Trouble with the Paypal Link

I guess I should also ask about where to go for all the other neat stuff, like merchandise, free lotto tickets, and discounted rum?

Right now we only have burgees.
Cruisers & Sailing Forums - Cruisers Forum Burgee

We will be sourcing other high quality merchandise soon. Tshirts, hats, KeyFloat keychains and other goodies. Once the vendor program gets going we will be asking them to provide discounts for our upgraded members as well. I hope that we will be able to setup many deals where upgraded members can save much more then the cost of upgrading (win-win-win).

Re: Having Trouble with the Paypal Link

Ok Andy, I know that bandwidth’s expensive but what’s with the 2 cents difference? I mean 14.99 to 15.01. Trying to get rich? I mean .02 x 600000 / maybe 10% if your lucky would get you another 120.00 USD. Maybe a dinner for two and a bottle of good wine.

Just giving you a little of the garbage I get every day.

You guys and gals run a classy site keep it up.

Thanks

Good question. It actually has to do with accounting. The Burgess also end in .01 and the tshirts, hats and other stuff will too. It makes it easier to track which community the transaction is from.
