Forum popup

Hi, hoping someone can shed some light on this.


For the last month(?)ish I have a popup banner type thing at the bottom of the screen after opening the forum. I've no problem with this except the fact it is totally blank apart from an X with which it can be closed/removed.


It's not like this is causing me issues, more curiosity that I'm closing something that might be somewhat important or significant.


I run Privacy Badger and Ublock Origin, disabling both has no impact, the banner still appears blank. Using Firefox if that makes any difference.


Can anyone shed some light on this?

I see the same thing using the Opera browser with it's extremely effective built in adblocker (and VPN), it also occurs in the Vivaldi browser (the two best browsers you'll find). I'll check it in MS Edge later, when I just have to key it up for a bit.

Without looking at the webpage source code, suspect that some 'bad link' redirect screening is blocking the boxes' content.

Might check out Opera, used it many years ago, sounds like it's worthy of a re-visit.
