Extremely well known boat I want to list

Hi,

I have an extremely well known boat I'd like to list and would prefer not to put the pictures up and have members pm me for pics if interested.

Would this be possible?

The boat is extremely well known and a one of a kind.

Thanks.

Noah’s Ark? Kon Tiki? Cousteau’s Calypso? The Black Pearl? Wanderer from Captain Ron? I’m very intrigued.

Just kidding. I say go ahead and post. People can certainly pm for the pix.

Re: Extremely well known boat I want to list

By "list", do you mean a boat you wish to sell, or do you mean a boat you wish to lean to one side?

If it's the former, contact a moderator. If it's the latter, unbalance the load so that your boat tips toward the desired side - and, no photos required.

Hope that helps.

I want to but the forum won't let me post. Was sort of hoping for some input from the moderation.

Of course.

I just don't want to publicize the boat on here with pics.

I own 2 boats. Looking to sell one.

Maybe I'm cynical, and forgive me if I'm wrong, but this is sounding like a scam!!

That’s what I thought too. My biggest gripe with this group is the ego some members seem to have. Not sure if this is a privileged life or what but It sure comes over as I’m better than you. This post reeks of the same thing. I have 2 boats and a real special one and I don’t want you to know what it is because I’m and the boat is special. Put it up for sale like everyone else or get lost. I’ve had a few beers and it feels good!!

Normally the best way to sell something is publicity.
It is often easier to sell something that is well known.

It is hard to sell something that you keep hidden.

Are you really suggesting you want to sell something unknown but only to people who ask by a PM "what is it"; if so, I wish you luck - I'm sure you will need it.

Re: Extremely well known boat I want to list

As long as you list the location and the price you've met the foroum rules. By not putting pictures in an online ad you are making the ad particularly ineffective. Price and pictures generate interest.

Err... no.

See the rules, particularly this

If you are selling a boat, please ensure your ad is placed in the "Boats For Sale and Wanted" section and that it includes ALL of the following: price, location, exterior picture or pictures, interior picture or pictures, description and as much information as possible. Incomplete ads may be removed.

And so it should be, remember, tyre kickers can be found on both sides of the equation.

Missed that part of it🚫.
I guess for other for sale items no pics are OK. Either way it is a bad way to market a boat.

Yes, as a moderator, this is right.
But I am VERY curious why you are so concerned about disclosing the identity of the boat? How can anyone even be interested in PMing you if there isn't some kind of identification of the boat?
