Drop Down Menus ?
I've noticed that the drop down menus don't include all the sub-forums and this can make it hard to locate a sub-form. For example, Dollars & Cent is not on the drop down menu when you click on Forums, so you have to just know to click on Forums and the full menu then comes up. I'm sure there are other subs that don't show as well. Can this be fixed? It can be very frustrating at times.

Doodles,
One trick that usually works for me is to send a PM to one of the mods to bring their attention to your post. Including a link to your post makes it easier for them to see what you are posting. Since you are recommending a significant change to forum structure, I recommend you contact Janet H in this case.

Re: Drop down menus?
Hi Doodles,
Sorry we missed you! I do know what you mean, but suspect it may be a case of "there isn't room for ALL the forums on the drop down" or some other such rationale. I'll check with our geeks and see what they say ; -)
And good advice DY!

Re: Drop down menus?
I believe the idea behind the drop-down menu was to highlight the more popular sub-fora, not to provide a comprehensive list. It's long enough as it is. If you want to have the entire list to pick and choose from, you need to click on the "Forums" link to take you to the Forums view.

Yea, that's how I see it working but that's not normal. Usually when you have a drop down it includes everything. At least that's been my experience, and its just not intuitive to click on the "Forums" menu button when it looks like it is just a drop menu.
But thanks for looking into it guys. Sounds like it is what it is.

Re: Drop down menus?
Thanks Doodles, i thought that i was just doing something wrong. If for instance i need to look at at a thread in say "women afloat" forum,(don't ask) i can never find it from the drop down and if i do not remember what the thread is called, cannot find it without going back through the pages of new posts until i find it. It's only me being lazy, and it is not a complaint even, just happy it's not just me. Now, someone mentioned some other way in the posts, must go and try.
OK, tried Hud's tip and it works. I can live with that. This little black duck is happy now.
Coops.

Yep, me too, was in exactly the same boat as both of you, thanks for bringing up Doodles.
