Drop Down Advertisement

First I want to thank the owners of the website for providing a venue where one can learn a lot about cruising and sailboats in general. I felt strongly enough to become a supporter after only a few months!

99% of the time I use my iPad to read the site. On days like today, I use my PC to read the form.

I am somewhat troubled/annoyed/P.O'd about the drop down advertisements that cover the top left corner of the web page. Perhaps removing them from those who are supporters would be one way to improve support.

Surely, if I had to deal with them everytime I went onto the site I would either A- leave or B- pay the $15 not to be annoyed. Never thought I would say this.... but I'm I really starting to love the iPad over my PC.

Well that my $0.02

Bill

Re: Drop Down Advertisement

Hmmm. I don't have any drop down ads. I just have some standard static placement google ads. What browser are you using?

Re: Drop Down Advertisement

There are many popup virus out there. Do you have the google toolbar? I've heard it can cause that particular problem. There are some that hide in your cookies somehow. I don't really know the details but a web search might help or dump google toolbar and purge your cookies?

Try using Firefox instead of IE.
