Display "First Unread"

When I used to open “New Posts”, it would open on the first unread (by me) post.
Now, with my new laptop, it opens on the latest post.
I’m in linear mode, on Cruisers Forum v2.0 ( vBulletin® Version 3.8.8 Beta 1). I didn’t see anything applicable in the “User CP”, nor the “Display Options”. I'm "Logged in".

Re: Display "First Unread"

Clicking on any thread title in Portal will bring you to the first unread post.

Clicking on the thread title anywhere else, including under New Posts, will bring you to post #1, unless you click the down arrow to the left of the thread title which will always bring you to the first unread post, wherever you are.

Is that what you mean?

I never knew that, thanks!!!!

There's another thing I always wanted to do; maybe there's a way:

When I click "New Posts" it comes up with the most recent first.

To me, the best way to catch up on what's happened since I last visited is to start with the OLDEST unread post first. As it is, I have to page down until I get to the first one.

Ideally, I'd like to start with the oldest at the top.

Failing that, some forums will show you ONLY the new posts when you click "New Posts." On this forum, the list continues on, page after page, showing threads I've seen before but didn't read. To my way of thinking, these aren't "new" posts at all.

If it would just stop at the new (unseen) posts, I'd be able to click on the last page and scroll backward. As it is I have to scan them all until I find the page with the line between the two categories, and start there.
