De-membering?

Is there a procedure or protocol to remove your membership from Cruisers Forum, or is one stuck here unless they want to be a jerk? Obviously, there's no requirement to visit, but what if I'm not comfortable with being associated with the organization?...

Generally you just leave. CF is an open forum and you can come and go as you please.

If by de-membering, you mean to remove posts, user info, etc. so it's as if you never were here, that's covered under the rules, which read as follows:

"We may remove accounts that have no posts. If the account has many posts, completely deleting the account can significantly disrupt thread continuity. In that event, we may (at our discretion) disable your account in some or all of the following ways: change the user name, remove signature content, subscriptions, avatar and identifying information or replace it with fictitious info. We may change account options to refuse contact and/or ban the account. Where communication features were used to share information with other individuals (e.g., sending a personal message to another Forum user) we generally cannot remove content. If someone quoted your post, the original user name will be shown as having been quoted (which we cannot purge). "

The behaviour of some members in the last little while has made me seriously consider packing my camel as well....

One has to wonder how some of these people behave in the real world.... not a bad effort really... getting two threads closed in two days by behaving like very young and immature schoolyard bullies.....

Last little while? Seems its been much longer to me. Know several good members who have left. And, the now very popular "Women Who Sail" group that was started because of poor behaviour here on CF.

Mods: why do you keep coddling these jerks...we all know who they are. Its bad for the community here and ultimatley bad the the business of CF.
