And that includes fiddling with the dates

I'm new to this forum and that date thing really confuses me. mm/dd/yy or dd/month/yyyy would be nice. Or somehow making it a user preference, but I know that's not easy.

Aren’t we using Month, Day, Year (mm/dd/yy)?

So it does.
Sometimes, one has to step back and see it from another's point of view.

All I know is that on July 1st, 2010, I reach 65.
No more LandTax on my residence
No more Vehicle licence fees
And I get to ride the ferries and busses for free.
And-oh yeah--Gord and the Canadians can have the day off--on me

Oh god, that would make learning to use a sextant fun

Yes. My post was confusing. What I meant was that I would find it easier if the month was spelled out if it's going to be in the middle. So today would be: 6/June/2010

More confusing yet, would be 06/07/10.
Is that June 7, or July 6?

Driving on the left, Ringgits, Pesos, dates, scarves, kilos, petrol ... get used to uncertainty. Leave the tiny womb of America.

Does it really matter if 06-07-2010 is July or June? Not to me.

Well, ask an Australian when they should commemorate 9/11. September or November?

I am sitting here trying to remember. Truthfully I can't.

It probably doesn't matter to a lot of readers, daddle, but it matters to the software that runs this site.

All posts are added to the thread in which they appear in the order of posting as determined by the date-and-time-stamp. It's what keeps the Forum well-organized.

The provider of the vBulletin software is a British company, and they have adopted the European system of DD-MM-YYYY. The date can be useful to readers, as well, since they can see how old a post they're responding to is before submitting their post - that is, if they bother to check.
