ADVERT CRAP

Are others getting sent off to another page instead of the one clicked on?

This has just happened again. It seems to follow no pattern and I could not figure it out (that isn't hard usually).

I clicked at the bottom of a thread to go to page 4. I get this silly page instead. Yes I can close it and get the forum back but......................DANG!!!

check your internet security software,normally bottom right hand corner there will be a little flag you can click on to open the anti virus programs

In chrome, press ctrl, shift and delete and the clear data window will open. I generally just clear the cache to "the beginning of time" a goggle setting... Really should clear the cache every now and then in chrome anyway...

Just looked it up. You are right.

Uncover the Net popups and search redirect occurs on a computer due to a malware infection. Uncover the Net virus is a malicious browser hijacker which takes control of Internet browsers like Firefox, Chrome and IE by altering their settings without your permission. This bogus application may get inside a computer by visiting infected websites related to http://www.uncoverthenet.com. Anyhow, once the creepy bug enters, it registers itself as a plugin or toolbar extension. From now on, user will always be redirected to Uncover the Net search engine when he tries to use Google search. Along with the redirecting to wrong websites, Uncover the Net pop-up advertisements start appearing on the screen out of no where. As these ads are third-party paid adverts, the person behind this malware will earn a cash. Moreover, the malware changes home page without user consent and then keeps opening new tabs automatically on launching the web browser. You should immediately uninstall “Uncover the Net” virus because is not just a Spam-ware but it is also capable of stealing personal user information to fulfill the criminal tasks.

Now to get started.

Funny I never had any problems till someone told me to move from IE to Chrome and use Windows 7.

Yep. Came up again this morning. Can't find it though.

It seems well hidden.

All the sites that lead you through google, IE, startup menu, services running, registry editor etc, I can not find any of the files that contain the bug.

Guess I need to find a computer forum huh?
