Ads blocking useful site functions

I've seen a few threads posted that sound similar to this, but never experienced the problem myself.

Recently, the ads that display on the right-hand side of the site have become rather intrusive. They are the type that will "stick" as you scroll down, remaining in front of whatever else is on the page. This means that they can sometimes completely block the very useful panels on the right side of the page. I particularly often use the "Recent Posts" links on the right side to peruse active discussions. I currently can't read the titles of any of these posts, because an ad is blocking the view and cannot be closed or scrolled past.

Picture attached of the issue.

Re: Ads blocking useful site functions

It's why I always run adblock. I never see any of this crap -- anywhere. Makes the whole WWW far more functional.
