380 S2: Typical New Boat Problems and Issues

Hi,
I'm considering buying a new Lagoon 380 and curious as to what issues others have encountered on purchase of a new Lagoon. Things that didn't work, or had issues soon after delivery. Engine problems, autopilot, electronics, rigging or anything else, and also how Lagoon handled the problem (helpful and efficient?)
I'm just wanting to know so I can be prepared and know what to expect.

Hull 637
1 - a small blister in aft stb deck with air under gelcoat/topcoat, was found, rep by Deal when back in norway
2- main sail (fot on sail out on boom) ring pressed into sail broke off in winds around 16-18 knots, going from Helgoland to Germany coast.
This was repaired by sailmaker in Kiel wih a new and stronger ring put in place.
3- toilet pump cracked up, small wather leak, this was repaced in france.
4- ligth on the outside cocpit dont work--- still not repared , waiting on el drawing from the factory, to se where the cabeles are going.

This are the main things so fare.

Boat is saling better then exsp. up wind.
genakker, full main i have many times seen speed above 10 knots. 45 AWA

Nice...sounds like you're a happy customer then
I notice in your pics you didnt opt for a bimini. Whats the reason for that?
I would of thought they would be a must have whether to avoid sun or rain..

We are up north, and when the sun is there we like to be in it not hide from it,
If it rains, we go inside.
and we save some weigth, sails faster., and me pers. like the looks better, then when you have the big Bimini and side panels up, it looks more like a campingwagon

Haha so red umbrella instead of the hard bimin Careka. Rob - I did 2,500 nm from La Rochelle to N Italy where I am now. I had to my amazement, ZERO issues. I have had a new boat ten years ago (German even) and had loads of issues so expected all kinds of nonsense and trouble but had none. I really like the hard bimini - not only for shade, but also 1) for mounting extra solar panels 2) HUGE benefit: four nice big fat stainless tubes holding it up, make for safe feeling when at sea, always something to hold on to, and it helps when you are launching dinghy from davits etc. I would not want one without it. I do not want the side panels on it as Careka says it will look like some silly greenhouse (I saw one, it was rubbish the way they made it as well, don't get it whatever you do ...) 3) I really like the hard bimin when hoisting the mainsail.... actually I don't know how Careka does it without (do you put a ladder up in the cockpit maybe ???)

Brainmaker, live up to your name,
i lower the boom, and zip up the zip-pack. and i take it back up when takeing up the sail.
Very easy jobb. and i can also stand on the table in the cocpit.
So no problem. and i can se the main sail from all places in the cocpit,
If we where to sail in the Med or other sunny places we would also have the hard bimini.
