It is a shame that this document is so hard to read online. It would be worth considering printing the whole thing and then reading at leisure. There is much to contemplate.
It is a pity that there is no summary or overall reccomendations.
As many of the incidents related to loss of stability we need to consider the ultimate stability of any boats that we may own or consider owning in the context of these reports.
Also interesting is what is not said. No comment about training, though experience is commented on many times. No comment about about suitable clothing (are wet suits or immersion suits practical in these conditions?) though most of these reports involve conditions conducive to hypothermia.

When posting something like this, it would be helpful to include a few lines describing what it is about and why you think it is interesting.

This is a collection of sailing/powerboating mishaps, sinkings, groundings, injuries and deaths in the U.K., is slightly dated, and has cogent commentary at the end of each story.

Just spent the last two hours reading through 95% of it. It's very instructive and a somber reminder to make prudent operation of our craft, along with our crew's and passenger's safety, our paramount priorities.
