Optimus burner

Hi folks

I still use a fab two burner kerosene Optimus
Burner ( last ones I bought were years ago from Force ten .)

Now I cannot find well made replacement parts or new burners .

I will pay good money for two unused new ones

Toplicht in Germany had on back order for 6 mos

So I need another option if anyone out there has
a viable suggestion . Thanks stay safe and fair winds

Re: Optimus burner

SparesMarine in the UK has been my goto for Taylors spare parts ... I don't know if it's the same burner as the Optimus...

They seem to be out of complete burners, but lots of parts listed if they fit your burner.

You may want to join the recent conversation and ask at the "other" forum....

Re: Optimus burner

The other source is

https://www.base-camp.co.uk/

Both spares and base camp sell the burners. Both ship internationally for little cost and with quick service.

In recent years Hanse from Germany has started making replacement burners of very high quality and performance. They are not cheap but work well.

Toplicht would not sell to me in the USA. But only alerted me to this after accepting my order.

I need to add a caveat. The burner you want is NOT the 4 legged variety. You want the 2 legged type. The 4 legged type has a great deal more mass than the 2 legged type and does NOT Preheat or simmer well. If you try to summer, turn the heat down, the burner will cool and not work right, it will flare.

Both Base Camp and Spare should be aware of this and will respond if you send them an email.

I just checked and both sources are saying “out of stock”. If you find out what the story is please post here.

Hey Uncle Bob.
We have a lot of Force 10 bits and pieces. Not really sure what a lot of these pieces are worth, so we are gathering offers at the moment.
Going by what was mentioned on one thread on here, the new burner is $65 - $95. So on that one we would accept $50.
You can see the other pieces we have available on https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...22463823359018

And we would consider shipping internationally, but would have to check out what is available for shipping companies. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

Hi, I can live with $50.00, could you price putting it into a padded post bag and posting to Australia please.

Edit: I am assuming that you are in the US, if Canada then even better.
