Description: This boat spent a day underwater. I don't know what kind of boat it is or why it sunk.

Hey delmarrey,
Thanks for having a look and especially for taking the effort to rate it! You know how hard it is to get something interesting enough to rate. (whether favourably or otherwise) Please comment to give the members some insight as to how this photo moved you.

I rated it a 1 because that's how I would feel if it were my boat. Fortunately it's in fresh water. As for the picture, It was good enough for me to download to one of my libraries. It's a good picture!
Sorry, if my interpertation was misleading!

Thanks for the clarification. By the time I was back to the Marina the next day, she was floating again. I was told that it is a ferro cement boat and that it sunk due to a through hull fitting leak after the owner was working on it. I would have liked to see how they refloat a sunken vessel

I would guess from my diving courses (PADI-search and salvage) that they used inflatable devices inside or out to get it high enough to start using pumps.

Re: At least it's fresh water...

I have seen this before...many times. It is always sad. I feel bad for the owner. Its hard to see any humor in it for me.

With a catamaran, that wouldn't happen!
