We had these guys in Resolution Bay on Christmas day.

If its with the calf, its almost certain to be the female.
The male of the pod is riding shotgun on the flank

I would actually say this was a male, given the large (tall) dorsal fin. If there was a smaller animal beside this one it was likely a female. They tend to stick together in large family groups here in the Pacific Northwest.
That next photo is likely a female or juvenile. Hard to tell the size....
