Perkins 4-154 engine cooling pump

I need to replace my old Jabsco 11850-0701 water pump">raw water pump. Since this pump is no longer available, I need a compatable replacement. Is anyone running a newer belt driven raw water pump on your Perkins?

Depco Pump Co. lists parts including a major rebuild kit in their catalog.

Thanks Lepke. I've used their parts and had the Jabsco rebuilt twice but it still leaks. I'll check out the Sherwin as a replacement.

Usually when they still leak it's because the shaft is worn where the seal rubs. There are two fixes. One is a new shaft and the other is a sleeve. I believe teflon is what the sleeve is made of. Better bearing supply stores have them by shaft size. I've used them many times, but not recently.

Agreed. I replaced the shaft in the first rebuild, rebuilt again a few weeks later. Either I was unlucky and had two people rebuild the pump who didn't know what they were doing or there is something wrong. If I invest any more money in this I'd like it to be for a completely new pump.
