7 Ft! I'd be bouncing off the headliner. I'd feel like I was in a concert hall.

*Disclosure: I could never bounce off the headliner in my boat as there is no room between the top of my noggin' and the headliner to build any velocity. That's not to say I don't bounce my head off things fairly often

To the OP, I think the 390/393 is fine for what you suggest. Be sure she's up to snuff, and she'll get you there just fine. EVERY sailboat is a list of floating compromises. Understand the list of compromises you've selected, and hopefully you'll learn to love them.

I think it was a 390 but hard to believe that there would be more than a 6" difference between the two. This one had less than 6'2" in the salon. I'm 6"3" and was bent over albeit with tennis shoes on.
