Questions about replacing standing rigging myself without unstepping mast...

I was looking at a professionally built 38' Cross trimaran built in the late 80's that still has the original standing rigging. The wires and turnbuckles appear okay but who knows what's lurking inside those swageless fittings. Anyway, 30 years in the Pacific Northwest and Florida has to be waaaaay past replacement time.

Three questions, please...

1) The mast is about 40' tall with no spreaders. Does anyone know what the price could be (low to high ballpark) if I pay a professional to do this?

2) I replaced rigging myself decades ago the old school method where you loop the wires at the end and use thimbles. (Not sure swageless was around then, or if it was, it was probably too expensive.) Is there any reason I couldn't do the job myself by replacing one wire at a time without unstepping the mast?

3) Instead of using SS wires, how about I use Dyneema instead?

Thanks

Dyneema would be perfect for this, and the cheapest option if you do the work yourself. You can get DUX from Colligo Marine, as well as all the fittings necessary. It's worth getting the whole system from them. You might be able to do this option without unstepping; hard to say without seeing what's up there now. I would do all in my power to eliminate wire rigging. What century is this, anyway?
