Good luck, but it is hard to believe that you have been able to "machine" off enough weight to do this. But if it is really so, it is likely that a prop shop can weld on material to replace any that is lost, and do so for less money than new blades. FOF themselves may offer a refurbishing service... can't remember if I ever asked about that, but many prop mfgs do.

Do keep us informed as you work through this... a very interesting issue for those of us with FOF props.

I'm just happy we got a report back as to the cause. A lot of threads of this type the OP never gives us the resolution! Grrrrr

Back to the blades
New FOF blades worked a treat
New blades weigh in at 1898gms each
Old blades 1445gms each
There is not enough wear to explain 450gms difference
So either we had a set that were old design or a light casting
can only surmise they were right on the edge of weight balance
and last cleanup pushed them under without the barnacles etc.
