Narragansett marinas?

Does anyone have a recommendation or suggestion of a marina in the Newport/Narragansett area that is reasonably priced? Yeah, I know--ha ha. I don't need a swimming pool, a club house, or anything fancy--just a safe marina to keep a 55 foot monohull for several months starting in June.

Try Pirate's Cove in Tiverton or Portsmouth (same company, different sides of the river) if no dock space, they might have a mooring.
Next choice would be Bristol Marine in Somerset
Last choice would be the Borden Light Marina in Fall River
All other places will probably be far more expensive: Bristol harbor has some moorings, so do Wickford and Allen's harbor.

Perhaps a mooring in Newport? Do you reciprocity with any yacht clubs?

Benz, thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out. Office, my yacht club at home is small and doesn't have relationships with the big boys in Rhode Island, so I'm on my own in that regard.

Try Dutch Harbor boatyard in Jamestown (it's the low key side of the island) Dutch Harbor Boat Yard

Re: Narragansett marinas?

Nortons in East Greenwich have just built a brand new dock that has plenty of room for bigger boats . . . . . maybe it's one month old. The boat would be on the outside.

Wickford Shipyard can fit a few large sailboats, something like six, but I know nothing about availability.

Try Jamestown Boat Yard, nice laid back atmosphere but lacking amenities. There is also Conanicut in Jamestown that is very convenient to eating and the ferry. Gets rolley due to the ferrys though.
