Panama Canal Transit

Hey everyone!
Can anyone direct me to a resource that Panama Canal cruisers would use to try and find additional crew for the transit (minimum of 4 crew per boat)?

Re: Panama Canal Transit

There's bulletin boards at the Balboa Yacht Club and Shelter Bay Marina where lots of people (cruisers, backpackers, locals, etc) put their contact details on for crew through the canal. Mix of volunteer, reimbursement for travel back from the other side to full paid. Fully paid is mainly the locals who do it regularly.

I think you'll find very few who are looking at forums or on-line bulletin boards for crew. It's generally easier dealing with people on the ground when you're there as scheduling can be fluid at times.

A lot of the boats going through from Shelter Bay sort of help each other as line handlers.. the other way see's less traffic

On the Pacific side the morning cruisers net on VHF. On the Carib side the bulletin board at Shelter Bay Marina. The Cruises Network Yahoo group is a possibility. And the San Blas cruisers Facebook page. Most cruisers hook up with other cruisers to get crew for the transit.
