How Do You Listen to Your Music?
Honestly, I mostly have a Bluetooth speaker that I stream to from my iPad, Sometimes the Bose Wave radio below. I know a lot of boats have built in systems. I really like the quality of music from earbuds, and use them a lot at anchor, but I fear not hearing something I should while underway.... Whaddyall use for tunes?

Re: How Do You Listen to Your Music?
I just bought some wireless Senheiser headsets with noise cancelling and Bluetooth. I work in a somewhat noisy cabin with two big Diesel engines under me. I bought a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver that plugs into my iPod that my headsets receive. The noise cancelling cancels out most of the engine noise but not voice or the VHF much at all...which is perfect. This setup is like magic...no wires to restrict my movement and the sound is excellent. Nobody else is forced to listen to my music or my podcasts either.
Also on the boat I have a Jensen Sirius receiver connected to regular waterproof boat speakers.

Re: How Do You Listen to Your Music?
Cheers shipmates, I have a bluetooth phone that ransmits to the fixed dvd/music player, with bluetooth, hooked up to the boom boxes, also a remote bluetooth rechargable speaker box, works great, as you can select the music from the phone and if a call comes in it comes through the speakers.
The bluetooth headphones sound like the go, searching for them now.

Re: How Do You Listen to Your Music?
Since I don’t need several shelves for books (now I use an e-reader) I have the perfect place for my Bose SoundDock and iPod, great music for a 30 foot boat.

Re: How Do You Listen to Your Music?
Simple and good.
I have an MP3 player plugged into a leftover from some car I sold high dollar 200 watt amplifier through the RCA cable. Good speaker wires to my old Jamo 7.1 rear surround sound speakers leftover from when I had a house. It sounds amazing and all I had to buy for this project was a 3.5mm headphone jack to RCA adapter.
I control the volume at the MP3. If that isn't enough music I can plug in my laptop. I have 500gb of music on there. I won't live long enough to listen to it all.
Ky Mani Marley is my current favorite, last month it was Sergent Garcia.

A surround sound speaker system, into which we plug our iPods, iPad or netbooks.

Re: How Do You Listen to Your Music?
I bring my iPod with a few portable cables just in case there isnt a docking interface.
I roll these guys up in a ziplock bag:
Stereo (3.5mm) to Stereo (3.5mm) - 3 Feet
Stereo (3.5mm) to Composite (RCA - Red+White) - 3 Feet
Stereo (3.5mm) to Tape (Looks like a cassette)- 3 Feet
Stereo (3.5mm) to Stereo (1.4 inch) adapter head.
I have a hard time finding things I can't plug it in to with that little kit in my bag.

Re: How Do You Listen to Your Music?
We have a marine cd/mp3 player with 2 speakers in the saloon and 2 in the cockpit. We use itunes (of which we have ~ 300 days/24/7) and so can listen to lots of varied stuff on 'random' play
Also have a 'parkwood' by CORT and attempt to play.

Not the Sennheisers. But yeah, there are a lot of low quality sound ones out there. But it's not because Bluetooth cannot transmit excellent sound, it can.
