Hello from Melbourne! (no not Australia)

Hello CruisersForum!

I have been in the shadows of this forum for a few years now but never actually made an account. 100's of searches have always led me right here so I figured now was as good a time as any!

On Christmas Day I officially started living aboard a 1977 Capital Yachts Newport 30. A few weeks in I can definitely say I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I am so glad I made the jump! My plans are to continue learning how to sail, restore the boat, and sail to Key West this summer when the lady finishes grad school. I look forward to what the future has in store, as well as interacting with all of you!

Cheers!

Thanks Gordmay!! Does anyone know some trusty mechanics and/or technicians in the Florida Space Coast area? Looking for someone to lend a hand in my repairs and restoration.

Greetings Captain Swayyy! Glad to see another local newbie. I am in IHB and I have been doing all the work on my 82' Catalina 22. If you ever want to sail or talk shop, would be willing to help out too.
