Stainless fittings to create an arch

Hi

I am creating an arch on an Alberg 30 to hold 2-170 watt solar panels. I would like to use 1.25 inch tubing for strength. Also, I would like to connect this tubing to the 1.0 inch stern pushpit for strength. I am going to try and make the panels tilt-able in 3 directions - side to side and towards the stern.

To tilt towards the stern, I would need to have some sort of clamp on fitting that allows the panels to tilt up on the aft upright. On the forward upright, I would have an extendable tube that would push up on both panels and lock in place with a pin or something. I thought also, that that a couple of gass struts would help with this, located on each side of the for upright.

The panels will be connected together as a unit so I can tilt them both back and still have their own swivel mount.

I was thinking of 2 uprights that are connected together. They would end up being about 14 inches apart

Does anyone know where I can find fittings that connect 1.25 and 1 inch tubing together? Most of the fittings I can find don't seem to be strong enough for this application and don't connect 2 different sizes of tubing.

Are you looking to do this with stainless tubing? Stainless compression fittings like the ones here RU Reducing Union|Stainless Steel Compression Fittings are used for connecting stainless tubing under pressure. You're not going to find stainless compression tube fittings in that size.

This sounds like its more for decoration. You might look at stainless pipe instead.
