Lighthouse Windlass

I have a Lighthouse 1501. Its brilliant. However the chain counter has stopped working and I cant find anything in the manual or on their web about the counter system. Any ideas on where the problem might be?

We have a 1501 but not a chain counter. It definitely is deck “bling”.

I would simply call them or email them. They were always very nice to us and answered all our questions.
