When the O’day 37
center cockpit was first introduced, it generated a lot of excitement, for good reason. The separate aft
cabin with
head offered privacy not found on boats if its size. The newly refinished forward part of this
boat houses the
galley,
salon, a second
head with
shower, and V-berth. The center
cockpit has good visibility from the
helm, and below the waterline is a full skeg hung
rudder with an encapsulated fin
keel with lead ballast.
Ad Astra is a must see if you are in the market for a good sailing comfortable
boat that is moderately priced. The
salon, forward head, sole and V-berth
wood have been completely refinished, including new salon cushion covers. It “looks like a new boat” is a common comment for the for the salon
interior forward.
Cockpit cushions included.
