Re: Wanting to buy manual windlass

I have a Simpson Lawerence with both a rope and chain gypsy that I removed from my Bristol 40. I'll take 300.00 for it. I'm in Fairhaven Mass and could ship it to you or you can pick it up.

Re: Wanting to buy manual windlass

For you guys flogging Simpson Lawrence windlasses: please specify which model you are selling. S/L made several different manual models.

Re: Wanting to buy manual windlass

My boat came with one and it was one of the first changes I made. I installed an electric windlass.

The manual windlass sat around the house for a couple of years until there was a boating "flea market" at the local West Marine. I took it and a bunch of stuff and set up a table. A guy asked me what I wanted for it and I think I said $25. It might have been $50. He bought it.

I never in my life thought anyone would pay hundreds of dollars for it. My Bad!

Re: Wanting to buy manual windlass

Do not know if you are still interested, but have a Lofrans Royal Manual Windlass in good shape. Am located in the Chicago area and will ship. Used the same on my Moody 34 sparingly as Lake Michigan sailing generally means yacht club to yacht club. I will try to take pictures if you like. Just let me know.
Thank you,
