I am retired, good physical/mental condition, and very interested in helping you move your Pearson 424! Helping you would also help me,as I need the experience of the waterway—I have an Irwin 30 in Naples, and would possibly make the same trip soon! Please let me know your decision and safe travels to you!

Considering the height of the masthead on the 424 (48.83'), if you have anything mounted on it, you may have an issue with the Port Mayaca RR Lift Bridge at 49', No?

Re: crew wanted across florida

Port Mayaca Railroad Bridge (lift type) S. Central FL Express, Inc.
• Horizontal Clearance = 56'
• Vertical Clearance = 49' Up (based on 14.5' water level)
• Vertical Clearance = 6' Down (based on 14.5' water level)
• Located at Okeechobee Waterway Statute mile 38.0

Note that water level is downstream of the lock, not the level in Lake Okeechobee itself. Changes daily

Re: crew wanted across florida

Hi, I'm curious about how your trip went. I am just down the road in Estero and as a teacher, I'm off for the Sumer and available if you ever need help with your boat.
Have a great day
