Beneteau WingSail.

Thinking in making boats more easy to sail for small inexperienced crews Beneteau say is going to fit Wing Sails in all the models for 2016 or in a time frame between 18 and 24 months.

I was tempted to bring up this topic a little while ago. If wingsails are the future of sailing, then in a couple years when I'm ready to buy a boat, should I be looking at wingsails if I want it to have good resale value? And what is the actual difference in speed?

I am skeptical about them installing it in ALL their models by 2016. Look at that picture closely. To fit the wingsail, you have to remove the backstays, which means that the boat needs to be engineered differently, right? Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I assumed the stays helped support the weight of the mast, especially on larger vessels.
