Liveaboard friedly DIY yard on Texas coast

Ok guys I tentatively have transporting the boat figured out. I have a friend who is willing to make trip to Texas gulf for cost. Cant beat that with a stick, short of having my own pick up. What I need to find is a place that I can finish working on boat and live on it at same time,in the gulf coast area.Prefer East half of Texas coast. Hoping for Houston or Galveston area since i know I can find some work to help income. A marina, or perhaps someone has a place on or near the water they would rent me cheap. I can haul water and don't have to have lights. Basically what needs to be finished is bottom job. The rest I can do on the water.

It's Rockport, but House of Boats is probably the best.

Thanks. I keep coming back to them. Have to admit, it sure seems to fit the need.

Payco Marina in Galveston.

Wet slips are $165.00 per month. No insurance requirements. Just sign a 6 month contract put up $165.00 deposit and first months rent and you're in.

They also have haul-out and a full service boat yard. They have shitter and shower, no laundry.

It's not fancy, very basic. About like a trailer park on the water really. But, if you're on a budget and you want to be in the Galveston area this is an option.
