Re: Hello from Hotter 'n Hell Texas

All that hot air is supposed to blow offshore into the Gulf of Mexico, we will cool down a bit ( goody ). downside, that hot moist air may attract a hurrxxne, won't say it to jinx us, but ya know what I mean.
These folks are always looking for crew http://www.clearlakesailingclub.org/
Welcome aboard,
Mrs. Rain Dog

Re: Hello from Hotter 'n Hell Texas

It has been just plain horrible. 110 on Sunday - 111 is our all time high in San Antonio. Broke the record of 101. In Corpus Christi on Saturday, it was 105 or 106. NO WIND (it always blows there). Just plain miserable. I mean, CC is bad when it's in the low 90s. In Port Aransas they were predicting a Heat Index of 133 on Sunday.

Re: Hello from Hotter 'n Hell Texas

I heard Austin set a new record Sunday with 112. My wife and I were startled awake from a loud noise yesterday morning. She asked "was that thunder"? I told her no way..we haven't had rain all summer. About that time, kaboom...it was thunder...and it was raining. I almost forgot what rain looks like. We're supposed to get mor this weekend. Yippee

Right back at 'cha from Texoma! Your right, it's been hot. Still hot! This weekend is supposed to be nice tho. I am looking to spend the weekend on Texoma, under sail with a cool Coors, maybe a hot dog or a hamburger on the grill.

Welcome! How's life in cool, chilly Tejas? (I was just visiting Phoenix, sorry!) I grew up in south Texas and still have relatives in Houston, Kemah, Wimberly, and Corpus.
