Unfortunately it doesn´t mean that I have the financial availability to make the dream become a reality he he he.....I know...I know....misleading title. I wish it wasn´t !

Where are they built?

I had a quick look at major multihull facilities in France and can't find the builder.

I am pretty sure they built it in Ho Chi Minh Vietnam. If not there, pretty close by.

This is one seriously impressive beast, I am enjoying watching all the videos they are posting on it.

Fast boat. Watching the video, they also appear to be pretty spartan for a boat with a $1.3M starting price. Optioned out should be quite a bit more.

Some oddities from watching Rapido on the Youtube.

1) She is shown sailing slow. Why not post a video where she sails fast if she claims to be fast?

2) Even the girl gets bored and goes down below to read a book. Bummer.

3) Drastic soundtrack. Are all potential Rapido buyers religious? I am not.

4) Why an alloy stick on a carbon boat? Oh why.

5) Awesome deck/salon part! I love how the kitchen is placed! I could buy her after all, if only for this part.

Pretty pricey for a prototype. btw

I don't think it is pricey for the type of boat, carbon and all considering that it seems to have a really nice finnish. A great cruising boat for some lucky ones, the ones that like to travel light and fast, don't need more than 2 cabins and have the money for this type of boat.

1) Because she is just barely out of the molds and they are ramping up testing.

3) didn't bother me and I am not religious either
4) a carbon stick is an option, but the price is substantially more (I think about $175,000 price difference

The prototype has a carbon mast not the aluminium as well as some ther options, and I think they are asking 1.6 mill for it. Not a cheap boat by any means, but there aren't a lot of comperables...

The only thing close to it I can think of would be Paradox (likely pretty close) or the Neel 65 (close only in that it's also a trimaran).


Keep in mind the boat has only been floating for a couple of weeks, I expect the marketing will ramp up once they have done all the testing that's planned. For now at least I know they are planning on getting rid of the solar panel tower and move the panels to behind the aft beam. More changes are likely to follow as well I am sure.

Somehow, this concept is easier to swallow than Neel. And sure Paradox is the cream, but there is only one and she is not mine.

I had a very close look at a Multi50 thinking if we could convert one. I have seen Rayon Vert before .... but they are very very small inside, I think living volume comparable to a Folkboat or thereabout. Too small for extended trips.

Apparently there is already an order for hull #2, but I have no idea about follow ups to it.

I frankly am not sure what the all up cost of a second Paradox would be. It's for sale for $1.3 million. My guess is that it is specced out a lot like the $1.6 Rapido, but really don't know. The major difference is that paradox is all carbon while these are glass/carbon.

I am kind of with you about the Neel. While I get the concept, it just feels like they gave up most of what makes a trimaran desirable to get the living space. Maybe I am wrong, but I am guessing the Neel is no faster than a performance cat, with far less living space.

Anyone thing that's sort of a weird looking steering seating station thing in the cockpit? Looks like a bar counter in a pub with a little roof over it. And you're sitting so high you're really exposed.

O think you could easily get some kind of weather protection. Plus exposure also means visibility, feeling.....hands on control. It's a fast trimaran, for me this makes sense.
