As her third owner (December 2005), we spent 7 winters (of about 5 months) taking her as far south as Grenada and 2 summers in the Chesapeake and North East, enjoying the comfort that you normally find on a bigger boat. She has a good turn of speed under sail and can outperform those heavier cruisers in the 10 - 15 knot that we all like to make passages under. She motors effortlessly at 6.6-6.8 knot (at her optimal throttle for fuel efficiency) for getting between anchorages, when sailing is not an option. And she can move along at her hull speed (7.1/7.2 knots), well below maximum throttle, when you need to keep up with those bigger boats motoring to that next bridge opening on the ICW!

Last summer was spent bringing her north from the Chesapeake to Lake Ontario, closer to home for us. We had expected to use her for 6 weeks this summer. However, plans have changed and we will not user her more than 2 weeks this year. As a consequence we have decided that it is best to price her to move! Any prospective buyer who is familiar with the market for this model, and similar boats of this class, will recognize that she is offered as a substantial bargain.

Just wanted to clarify the details on our asking price, since I neglected to mention in the original post.

She is not currently listed with a broker, while we assess what level of interest there might be. However, our asking price actually includes a 6% commission to any broker that you are working with (which is slightly more than what they would share if they do not have the listing themselves). This is explained on our web site.

So, what this also means is that for a private buyer, then the settlement price would actually be

$54,500

or what we would realize from the sale.
