Texas Surveyors ?

I'm in need of a good surveyor in the Corpus Christi area.
Any suggestions?

I'd recomend Roy Newberry, He's in Kemah, but is good..........disclaimer though, I'm a friend of his.

Mike is absolutely THE best. 36l.749.seven seven 67. However, he is very busy - so don't be surprised that he might be booked. I seem to recall that Mike taught Roy or vice versa - Roy is a good alternate. Because it's in Corpus Christi, Mike may be able to squeeze you in (Port Aransas is across CC Bay).

When Mike did our survey, he started at 8 in the am, and finished around 7 pm. VERY thorough. And he'd previously done a survey a couple of years before on the boat. Be prepared - some brokers don't like him.

Which boat in CC are you looking at?

I have used Mike on three surveys and he has always been top notch! I can't say enough good about him. Thorough, professional, knowledgeable, etc, etc. He saved me money over and above his fee every time. I once was about to put a deposit on a boat and the broker said he would not allow Mike to do a survey on the boat he was offering. I think that boat is still for sale Yeah, some brokers are scared of him.

I asked the same question on three forums and got Mike's name mentioned on all three.

The boat is a 1984 Islander Freeport 38.

2) I hope someone filed a complaint about the broker,

I have to tell you, Mike was one of the reasons we bought our boat, in spite of the problems he found. He WILL find problems, and maybe scare the heck out of you. BUT, he will also assure you that no boat is without problems, AND he'll talk to you about them. Mike's a real pro, and broker that says "no" is a broker to avoid AND is unethical.

BTW, the survey is YOUR property. I won't share one with the seller or any broker.

We hired Mike Firestone. The survey is scheduled for Feb 17. We'll see how it goes.
