Dark and Stormy Regatta - BVI

Hey all! I’m getting excited about our March trip to the BVI (7th-20th) and was wondering if anyone from this forum will be down there during that time. We’ll be land based in Tortola and Anegada. We were land based at Neptune’s Treasure during the event last year and had a blast at all of the parties and events there. That’s why we’ll be returning there this year. The treat for me is that this year we have the opportunity to crew aboard Ruffian in the Dark & Stormy Regatta. I’m getting psyched because it will be my first time ever in a race! Are there any racers/cruisers here that are planning on doing this event/have done this? We’d love to swap stories, meet up and have a drink!

Cheers, Judy

Dark & Stormy Regatta

Hi Judy,

My husband and I are going to the BVI's February 28th - March 9th. We are first going to Jost Van Dyke for three nights, then Tortola three nights, then will be staying on Anegada from Friday - Monday during the race. Have you been to the BVI's before? I may be able to help you with some questions...

Cindy, I’m sorry so late in reply. You left today! I’ll be looking for you on Anegada though!
Mark, I don’t play horse shoes, volley ball perhaps. Dancing and drinking, yes. We’ll be at De Loose Mongoose Friday night and then race over to Anegada with Marty on Saturday. We'll see you there!
