Crowther Buccaneer Trimaran in Port Orchard Washington $35,000

Due to an old shoulder injury acting up I must pass this one on to the next sailor. She is a 1997 Crowther Buccaneer Tri. 34' x 24' It's cold molded West System epoxy built and very strong. The full length beams stretch from ama to ama which makes her very stout and stiff with just about 0 flex. There are no soft or wet spots. I just had her hauled and substantial work was completed with all new bottom paint and topsides paint to the shear line. Numerous upgrades were done along the way and now she is better than when I bought her. I converted the reliable tiller throttle Yamaha 9.9 to remote control. That was a very involved project and included a Panther motor lift but makes her really easy to motor now. Inside there is sleeping for 4 or possibly 5.
There is no plumbing but a holding tank is installed. The sink in the pic is not connected. We put a porta potty in the f'c'sle and others Bucs have installed a head there. New Dickinson P9000 propane cabin heater, SeaCook gimballed cook stove. Lunasea LCD lighting (both warm white and nighttime red).

There was a new tall rig and stainless rigging 2013, new ss chainplates, new running rigging 2014, dbl topping lifts, vang, and Amsteel lines. Sails in good condition: Custom modified main (full-battened, heavy dacron) with 3 reefing points, All headsails by Quantum (#1, #3, #4, high-wind blade, reaching sail w/stay'sl, 1.5 oz. symmetric spinnaker) and are carbon/kevlar or pentex construction, w/#6 luff tape. The #1, #3, #4 all have sausage deck-launch bags. Spinnaker has turtle launch-bag.
New Harken Carbo Racing Foil for headsails.
New Harken Mainsheet control, double mainsheets, Yale PHD Racer line. Yale PHD Racer headsail sheets. Custom hard dodger 2014. Enables one to stand in companionway completely protected from the elements, steer, and protects helmsman from wind and spray.
Lunasea Masthead tricolor, anchor, strobe light.
New Standard Horizon VHF AIS/GPS GX2200 radio, and Garmin depth/chart plotter/gps.
New stainless rudder hardware installed April 2015. Very strong, no play or looseness in rudder connection.
2 new AGM batteries (50 and 79 amp-hour) and two 100-amp solar panels/charge controller.
8 fenders.
There's lots of spare parts and spare lines.

She will be on the hard in Tacoma until May 2 and after that will be sailed back to Port Orchard.

The boat was splashed on schedule and is back at Port Orchard. I should add that she has about 8 fenders, lots of extra lines, hardware, bilge pump, kitchen items, etc.
BTW the slip fee is $272.00 including tax.

The price is lowered to $33,000.
The outboard tank is new (1 week) also.

I'm still sailing her so she doesn't get lonely.

Re: Crowther Buccaneer Trimaran in Port Orchard Washington $35,000

I've had a few inquiries and visits and the main issue that keeps coming up is the lack of proper plumbing so I'm going to rectify that. I have ordered an electric flush toilet which has it's own holding tank. I will also install a sink in the bathroom and plumb the sink in the galley. I am also adding proper upholstery to the settee. All of this should be done in less than 10 days. Pics will follow as the refit progresses.
This boat just keeps getting better!!!!

Re: Crowther Buccaneer Trimaran in Port Orchard Washington $35,000

I was so close to buying one in SF, then I was negotiating one in ft myers Florida which ironically the second owner in fla knew and crewed on the SF boat (owners group buddies)
Turned down the second as the owner cut up the boat making it a deck salon which looked esthetically pleasing but looking/sighting thru the cabins plexiglass like looking threw a enclosed cockpit enclosure wasn't...then the first one came back on market as seen here...

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/boa/5584721548.html

Ferraris in the sailing world...I'd carry lotta a extra undies sailing one of those, 15plus knots under sail seems way stressful when done for a duration especially single handed IMO.

Love the boat model but have concluded it's too much rocket-sailboat for me, I'd be another author Piver prolly if I bought one...

New head

I finally got the head installed. It is electric flush, too. There's a few loose ends left on that project. I'm going out of town for a while and hate to see her sitting at the dock so lets do some wheeling dealing. Until then I will still take her out several times a week.
