Trimaran anchoring with winch on crossbeam...

I saw a trimaran where the anchor winch and bow roller were mounted on the middle of the forward crossbeam. Chain was laid on the netting. Not a bad idea. Snubber and bridle picked up the chain at the end. I wonder though when reviving the chain, and with the freeboard of most multihulls, if the chain would ever hit the bow in any kind of sidewind fluky or strong wind situation. Anyone know how this works? Thx in advance.
