Mediterranean anywhere...

Hi everyone, here's whats up: I want this ad to be placed in the general category...but do not see how to do it...help

I have just retired and am looking to start long term cruising. I have owned several boats in my life and lived aboard a Hunter 40 for a few years, and have crewed a maxi-yacht in the sydney-hobart race.

I am now traveling around the Med, currently in Turkey, and looking a 45-55' cruisers. I have found that the process to register a boat with the USCG can take 1 to 3 months! And during that time I really can't even move the boat. I think this is true even if I buy one directly from a dealer, brand new!

So in the meantime, if anyone has a nice cruiser they are thinking of selling, or you need a hand or just want some company, please let me know. I'd even consider doing deliveries etc.
I'm fun, super healthy (swim several miles a day), really good with anything mechanical (I owned and operated heavy equipment, aircraft, and vechicals of all types...I am also a multi-enging, instrument rated pilot, so I'm pretty good at navigating and reading weather forecasts)

Ideas?
ThanksDuane

I think CG registration can be expedited particularly for boats in foreign waters. It’ll cost you more but they have turned around documents in less than a week for me. Call them and discuss it if you’re serious.

This is a Classified Ad?

What exactly is it that you're selling?

Hunterdog,

Copy your first post here, then click on the little triangle (white, outlined with red, with an exclamation mark in it, down on the lower left, under your avatar), and report your post. Say you got it in the wrong forum, and see where you'd like to put it (could be in monohulls, could be in "crew available", could be in Destinations, but you check, and you choose where you'd like it to be. When you report the post, with what you want, it will go to the moderator team, and they will deal with it.
