Re: Best location to haulout a multihull in Nova Scotia

Based on some research I did a couple of years back when Starry Horizons was looking for a haul-out, the following may help. Final choice would depend on how long you want to be out for. The question, though was around a Helia, so a couple of feet narrower than yours. This might impact the travel lifts, not the railways or crane

Lunenburg Foundry have a 75 tonne travel lift
Gold River Marina, Chester can do with a crane

Sampsons Boatyard in Isle Madame. They are on the east coast of Nova Scotia near the entrance to the Bras D’Or lakes. They have a 150 tonne Travelift. Samson Enterprises Ltd.

Cheticamp Marina on the west coast of Cape Breton. Contact is Ray Deveau, 1-902-830-5000, email is raydeveau@eastlink.ca,

Marine Railway at Shelburne Diesel

Marine Railway or crane at Shelburne Ship Repair (very good bunch of guys)
